Since 2021, the Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM) has been developed to guarantee the security of supply on the Belgian electricity market.
This scheme has been put in place to incentivize industrial electricity consumers or operators of distributed generation to contribute to the long-term energy provision. Participating in the CRM is now an opportunity for every grid user with flexible energy consumption or distributed generation.
